Default Servants of Fortuna Website & Movie

Thanks to Anet for choosing us for Guild of the Week. We are very proud to join the list with the other great guilds that have been named for this honor. There are numerous things we have done to celebrate our nomination that unfortunately didn't make it into the gotw article, but which we still wanted to share with everyone.

We spent a lot of time updating our website, trying to turn it into a helpful resource for all GW players, with numerous articles and reference links and materials. You may recognize some of these articles as being written by prolific GWG posters such as Frog Devourer, Ix Chel, and Makkert.

Our other big project, along with the website update, was to make an official guild movie. This 5 minute+ video captures some of the fun and comraderie that makes the guild what it is, as well as hints at the diversity of personalities that makes every PvE mission or PvP battle truly an adventure.

We hope all the guilds out there are having as much fun as we are!

hey, grats on guild of the week and thanks for all of your contributions. i definetely see you guys a whole bunch around the forums.

i just have a couple of questions to ask. do you guys do much tombs? because other than the forums and now the gotw article, i was unfamiliar with the guild. and did you nominate yourselves for guild of the week? because prav has been going on a nice little run for quite some time now and i would like to do so.

thanks for your help.

Thank you very much. We do try to be up to date, and thus read forums often.

We love tombing. Usually we wait till we can get a full guildgroup (or 7) going. The largest chance for this is in weekend, since a lot of us work. Aside from that we try in evenings to get a group going.

One of the newer members was very happy with joining SoF, and send a nomination for SoF explaining why she was so happy with the guild. This was a spontaneous action from her, the guildleaders were surprised with it. Even more we were surprised when we got message from ANet that we were seriously taken in consideration.

Greetings,
Makkert

As my servants, I expect you to escort me through the game. 9PM sharp, don't be late or I'll dock your pay.

Props to Quartet for that amazing SoF video, by the way. You guys should check it out, it's really something.

By the way, it's too bad a lot of our pvp tips and strategies never made it on the GotW page on the Guild Wars main site. Seems they chose to show our pve quick tips instead

Thanks to SoF for a great Guild of the Week feature. We were all really happy with what you sent us. The value of the content -- to the GotW series as a whole, but more importantly to the individual Guild Wars players and to Guild Wars guilds -- is extremely high. The builds were great and your entire presentation was top-rate. It's a dream to have so much valuable content on which to build an article. It was our pleasure to feature you, and I know that John greatly enjoyed writing the feature.

Thanks to all of you!

It seems you have been beaten to the punch. On our public forums, we allready have a visitor claiming to be Fortuna (link).

lol. Yes, this sounds like SoF. A wide variety of builds is tested and quickly rotated if it isn't appropriate for the current metagame. Only a few that we really like have a longer lifetime.

ANet: thanks for the quick response regarding some issues with the article.

greetings to all,

Makk.

Heheh - "Fortuna" is just my monk character's name, not my real life name. I guess she can have dibs on you guys most of the time.
